Living Independently Facing Tomorrow (LIFT)

Purpose:

  • Increase community employment outcomes for student’s that need more support.
  • Establish community membership and maximize skill building opportunities that will assist them in connecting, contributing, and participating in their community.
  • Bridge a gap in services for students who need more intensive supports to belong to their community or obtain employment upon graduation.

We will strive to achieve this purpose by supporting school districts in using evidence-based practices to develop a curriculum with an emphasis on functional academics to increase the independent living, vocational skills for each student and increase their belonging within their community. This service is provided in collaboration with school districts, employment services agencies and IEP team.
