Employees are eligible for paid vacation after 180 days of employment. Vacation accrual is based on total years of service with any county, state, or any political subdivision of the state.

1. Early Intervention (EI) Service Coordinator (Contract Position)
What You’ll Do:
Support families and children (birth–3) with developmental delays or disabilities—right where life happens. Whether it’s in the home, virtually, or out in the community, you’ll be a trusted guide helping families navigate Early Intervention eligibility and services, access community resources, and celebrate milestones big and small.

What You Bring:
A passion for helping others, strong communication and organization skills, and a minimum of an Associate's degree in fields like child development, social work, special education, nursing, or human services.

- Must meet (or be eligible for) EI Service Coordination certification
- Valid driver’s license + background check required

2. Developmental Specialist (Contract)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children and their families? The Pickaway County Board of Developmental Disabilities is looking for a Developmental Specialist to join their Early Intervention (EI) team—and this role is as meaningful as it is flexible!
What You’ll Do:
Work with children (birth–3) who have developmental delays or disabilities, supporting them and their families right where life happens—at home, virtually, or in everyday community settings. You’ll serve as a Primary Service Provider, helping create individualized plans, coaching families, and collaborating with a supportive team to celebrate every milestone.
Flexible Schedule:
Approximately 24 hours per week (around 1,248 hours/year) with flexibility to meet family needs—including occasional evenings.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Nursing, or a related field
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass background checks
- Eligible for EI Developmental Specialist certification
